Okay, thank you that worked perfectly.
Would you know what didn't work in my original code?
Did I use self.data.get(size=self.p.period) incorrectly?
Hi peeps, new to backorder (and python, although programing since forever)
Profitability as a whole of a strategy is great, but I'm looking to understand my strategy by looking at the different trades individually, regardless of when they happened.
To keep this post simple, what I'm looking for is a way to tally losing trades and winning trades.
I can create self.winningTrades var in the strategy and tally them up like that, which works well inside the strategy.
The question is how do I access those variables in the main Cerebro execution part (I know there's a better term for it...)?
Or, is there a way to create global variables that can be changed from inside the strategy?
Thank you! This group is indispensable to me.
@run-out Okay, thank you! That was my thought, and although different, I'm assuming that the averages will be a slightly different perspectives of the same data, neither right or wrong, just different.
The large-span minute-based version probably slower but more accurate.
