Questions about Forum Etiquette
I don't have much of a programming background, and I want to set my expectations appropriately when asking for help here. I don't post often because I don't properly know how to ask for help with code.
-Is it sufficient to include the error message, relevant code, and attempted solutions when I post an observed issue? What else would make my questions easier to respond to?
-What is a reasonable time window to expect a response in? After how long should I consider responding to my own messages if my original question has been forgotten/ignored?
-Are there other web pages I should be looking at for specific code-related issues, like to see if the Backtrader team is already looking into the same issue I'm having?
I'm thankful that you guys have created Backtrader and maintain it. It's been helping me for over two years now with both historical and live testing. I try to only ask for help here if there's a problem that I genuinely can't solve on my own, so I'm hoping to ask questions in a way that works for everyone.
