Forum registration is broken

I've got few emails from people wanted to register on the forum and getting errors while doing so.
Here the example:
I contact you because I can't finish my registration. Therefore I can't post in the forum but I would really like to join the community, maybe you can help or connect me with someone? ... ...It seems that a required javascript file for the registration process is not being loaded... I don't know if this is on purpose? The process fails when I try to consent to the data policies AFTER account creation. After buffering for a while I receive a 504 timeout after clicking on "Submit".I've tried to verify it by registering some temporary account and I'm getting the same error right now (Oct'19 2021)
Hope Daniel will notice this forum post and could fix the issue.

I was one of the people who contacted via mail but was able to join the forum now. Actually I cleared my cookies and reset my password, dunno if that fixed it or something or someone else did.

I can confirm it was the case for long time, now it seems it's fixed, I even posted about it on reddit AlgoTrading

Thanks for your action. I had issues with the registration as well, but could join recently.
I have another question. I registered using my real name but want to change this to a nickname for privacy reasons. I don't see this option in edit profile. Is this possible in another way?

Thanks for changing the display name. With the limitation you mean the subscriber name after the @ can't be changed? To change that I need to register again?

After 1 year of trying to register, today the issue seems to miracously be fixed! I hope whoever struggled to register in the past sees this.
Ill add the news to the subreddit post about this issue as well.
