        Any updates on the discord status / repo progress?

        I think we have a great trading framework here which could get some things done. At least the pending ones from backtrader issues

          @victor-garcia-rubio I've been digging into this trying to figure it out so I'm trying to understand the timeline of the project. Feel free to correct me as I'm still learning backtrader as I add it to my stack for my own trading.

          1. It was started as github.com/mementum/backtrader by Daniel Rodriguez but Vlad took over but now might no longer be maintaining as it was also connected to Quantopian or zipline.
          2. So while backtrader is still being used backtrader integrates with zipline still as of a few months ago. Its no longer updated?
          3. In November 2021 neilsmurphy Merged a branch 'mementum:master' into a master with 2,439 new commits at https://github.com/backtrader2/backtrader
          4. This forum community.backtrader.com is active but barely and getting lots of spam that I've deleted but it keeps coming back. https://community.backtrader.com/topic/5868/get-excellent-pleasure-in-your-physical-life-by-suhagra-tablet. If I can get access to this community I could add some scripts with NLP to block the spammers.
          5. I sort of recall a discord or separate chat area but its been months since I had the bandwidth to work on this. I have eight new data sources I need to check, two repo's I've been added to for algorithmic trading databases and now backtrader is so scattered.
          6. There was a github issues post I made that had the links but I can't find it either.

            @yourdatatalking Yeah, I am currently using the fork.

            • Related to the spamming, I don't know if someone is able to allow other people to handle this. I guess that would be the most appropiate thing.

            • I hope there is a reply from admins soon.

              @victor-garcia-rubio Which fork, backtrader, backtrader2?

              I'm unable to install it, says its not available to install from pypi, conda won't install it, its like it doesn't exist but the repo is there and they have disabled the 'issues' tab.
