For IB, now there is TWS API, is IBPy still valid?
-
I am going to use Interactive Brokers as realtime data and trade channel, there was Ibpy imported into backtrader to work with IB. But Ibpy was not updated since Jan.2017.
Is current Ibpy in backtrader still working on IB TWS? Or should we shift to TWS API instead?Simon

It must be Stone Age technology ... 2017 ... Of course ... compared with the beta status of any of the 100 mobile apps in your handset which need constant updates ... it must be even older than Stone Age ... Jurassic technology.

IBPy
is not included with backtrader@sdmovie said in For IB, now there is TWS API, is IBPy still valid?:

The TWS API is a wireframe protocol which is unpalatable for human beings, which uses versioning to understand what version the client supports. You can shift to anything you may find suitable for you.

Agree with you @backtrader... If it ain't broke, don't fix it
