Time data format question

  • My time data from the csv file is in the form "month-day-year" (looks like 8/31/2017 19:05), however, in the datafeed documentation, the only format shown is "year-month-day". Despite that I tried changing the order, setting my dtformat = ('%m-%d-%Y %H:%M'). When I run the program, I receive the following error...

time data '15:00.0' does not match format '%m-%d-%Y %H:%M'
and so I add .%S after minutes, yielding this error:

    time data '8/31/2017 19:05' does not match format '%m-%d-%Y %H:%M.%S '

The first format I used seems to make it further along computationally than the second before throwing the error, but I still am very lost as how to rectify this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
