Help Needed with My Gaming PC - Constant Freezing Issue
-
Hey there,
I hope you're all having a great time in the gaming world. Unfortunately, I'm running into a bit of a problem with my gaming PC, and I could really use some advice and guidance from this amazing community.
Issue: My gaming PC keeps freezing during gameplay, and it's driving me insane. I've tried a few troubleshooting steps, but nothing seems to work. I'm hoping some of you experienced gamers and tech-savvy individuals can help me out.
System Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
RAM: 32GB DDR4
Storage: 1TB SSD
OS: Windows 10The Problem:
Every time I launch a game, whether it's a demanding AAA title or a lighter indie game, my PC runs smoothly for a few minutes, and then it freezes. The audio continues, but the screen is frozen, and I can't do anything but force a shutdown. It's making my gaming experience frustrating, to say the least. What I've Tried So Far:
I've spent countless hours researching and trying to fix this issue. Here are the steps I've taken:- Updated Drivers: I made sure all my drivers, including graphics, sound, and motherboard, are up to date.
- Temperature Monitoring: I monitored my CPU and GPU temperatures, and they seem to be within the safe range.
- Cleaned Dust: I opened up my PC and cleaned out any dust to ensure proper airflow.
- Checked Event Viewer: I checked the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages but found nothing specific to the freezing issue.
- MemTest86: I ran MemTest86 to check for any RAM issues, and it came out clean.**
- Reinstalled Windows: As a last resort, I reinstalled Windows and only installed essential drivers and the game I'm trying to play. Still no luck.
Additional Information:
- My PC is not overclocked.
- The freezing happens randomly and not necessarily during the most graphically intensive moments.
- I've also tried different games, and the issue persists.
I invested a lot in this PC, and it's disheartening to see it struggle. If anyone has any suggestions or has encountered a similar problem, please share your insights. I'm open to any and all advice, and I'm willing to try anything to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
William
